Join W.E.S.T. 6-10!

Becoming a member of the Wilderness Emergency Stike Team is fairly painless and opens a door of oppurtunities. Not only will you get to serve the community in one of the most fun, enjoyable, and fulfilling ways possible, but you will also learn valuable life-saving skills that your friends or family members may need in the future. Not to mention all of the cool gadgets, equipment, gear, and vehicles you will have access to. In order to join W.E.S.T. you must be a resident of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or any of the surrounding states, and be at least fourteen (14) years of age.

 

Why should you become a member of W.E.S.T. 6-10?

Membership entitles you to:
  1. Discounts on training and certification.
  2. Crew Newletter.
  3. Discounts and full access to crew store.
  4. Special promotional discounts at some retail stores.
  5. Respect from others knowing that what you do matters.

Types of membership available:

  1. Sustaining - Membership where the member is not actively involved in the emergency functions. All new members are placed in this catagory to ensure proper training before moving on to the operations of W.E.S.T.
  2. Operational - You will become an operational member after successfully completing your Sustaining/Training period.
  3. Junior - This allows those who are between the ages of 14 and 18 who have a desire to get involved. Of course, parents or gaurdians must approve, and our Chief, Alan Houck, is happy to discuss this with any family.
  4. Associate - These members participate in the administrative and activity events of the crew rather than the operational activities.
  5. Honorary - Any person who we believe has made an outstanding contribution of time, service, or funds to W.E.S.T.
